DSC PowerSeries Neo with Alarm.com Monitoring
DSC PowerSeries Neo is a professional hybrid alarm platform that supports hardwired zones and PowerG wireless devices. Avenger Security installs, upgrades, programs and monitors compatible Neo systems for homes and businesses throughout Austin and other Texas service areas.
New-client consultation: New clients considering a new DSC Neo or monitoring service receive an on-site visit and up to one hour of consultation at no cost. Troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs and technical service on an existing system are billable at standard service rates.
PowerSeries Neo panel family
The North American PowerSeries Neo family includes the HS2016, HS2032, HS2064 and HS2128. The model determines the supported zone and partition capacity, while installed modules, power and programming determine the final system capabilities.

Alarm.com compatibility
PowerSeries Neo requires a communicator specifically designed for Alarm.com. A DSC cellular or IP communicator that does not identify Alarm.com compatibility will not automatically support Alarm.com service.
Alarm.com currently identifies HS2016, HS2032, HS2064 and HS2128 panels with firmware 1.11 or later as compatible with applicable Alarm.com modules. The exact module, carrier, firmware and account package must be confirmed before equipment is ordered.
A compatible Alarm.com LTE communicator is commonly about $195, but the correct model, availability, installation scope and final price depend on the panel.
Interactive monitoring prices
- $29.99 per month for standard residential Alarm.com interactive monitoring.
- $39.99 per month for standard commercial Alarm.com burglar monitoring.
Equipment, installation, permits and corrective service are separate unless included in a written proposal. Avenger Security does not require a multi-year burglar-alarm monitoring contract. Service uses a 90-day cancellation notice, and first and last month may be collected at activation.
PowerG wireless devices
Compatible PowerG devices can extend protection when new cable is impractical. Options include door and window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break detectors, key fobs and environmental sensors.
Device selection must account for the environment, supervision, battery maintenance, mounting location and the consequence of failure. Wireless devices do not eliminate the need for commissioning and periodic testing.
Alarm.com interactive features
Depending on the service package and connected equipment, authorized users may be able to:
- Arm or disarm the system remotely.
- Review status and event history.
- Manage users and access codes.
- Receive alarm, arming, trouble and sensor notifications.
- Create schedules, reminders and supported automation rules.
- Control compatible locks, garage doors or thermostats.
Existing-system upgrades
An existing Neo system may need only a communicator, programming and testing rather than complete replacement. A takeover review should verify:
- Panel model and firmware.
- Installer access and programming condition.
- Zone labels and device operation.
- Keypad, siren, battery and power condition.
- Existing communicator and carrier status.
- Final central-station signal reporting.
Commercial planning considerations
Commercial intrusion systems need appropriate zone supervision, backup power, reporting, user administration and serviceability. Partitioning, opening and closing reports and individual user codes should follow the business workflow.
Commercial fire alarm is a separate regulated system. A DSC Neo burglar-alarm panel or app feature is not a substitute for an approved commercial fire alarm.
